The Digital Product Developer is responsible for ensuring the successful, profitable release of digital products in engineering/computer science/trade & tech/higher math/physics disciplines by working closely with authors, subject matter experts, director of digital content, digital product analyst, editorial, media/production, marketing and reviewers as directed by the management.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Establish objectives and schedules for digital projects with immediate supervisor.
Research and analyze targeted competition to determine the competitive environment with regard to digital content presentation and the use of technology.
Commission and analyze reviews.
Analyze the work of digital authors and contributors and provide direction to them about goals and objectives for project.
Implement market research activities (e.g., telephone surveys, review questionnaires, online surveys, class tests, beta tests, adoption analysis, etc.).
Provide direction to authors on revisions/new versions of digital products (e.g., supply rewritten probes/hints/solutions as models to follow, or provide detailed instructions on factors to be incorporated in subsequent iterations).
Monitor authors' schedule for creating digital products.
Monitor media/production department activities during the media/production cycle.
Provide guidelines and suggestions to the digital authors for the content and form of other learning resources that need to be built in.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering/Physics.

One-three years college textbook/digital publishing experience.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
