Heartland Financial has an opportunity for an Intranet Web Developer to join our team in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Intranet Web Developer's role is to design and maintain the Heartland intranet ensuring the continual correctness, completeness, and timeliness of information on the site. Champion the effective use of intranet communication tools to enhance communication between Heartland and its member institutions.
Intranet Web Developer
Responsibilities:
Participates in the design, development and documentation of custom Intranet applications using SharePoint, Footprints and other platforms.
Translates high-level business requirements into specific design on small to medium-size projects.
Develops HTML pages using CSS and web applications using ASP.Net 3.5
and XML/CAML.
Develops basic and advanced web parts, custom fields, workflows, custom lists, views and content types.
Creates departmental forms in multiple formats for department intranet use.
Creates, gains approval for, and maintains guidelines for the look and feel of the intranet.
Participates in the documentation and review of the technical aspects of the application.
Installs and tests necessary software and hardware. Ensures cross-platform functionality, navigability, usability and accessibility of the Heartland intranet. Renews content of the web as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information presented.
Assists other IS staff with intranet server management and administration.
Assists Help Desk in escalated support incidents and troubleshoots technical problems with the website. Maintains and reports web usage and access statistics.
Assists in IS Business Recovery planning and testing.
Candidates Should Have:
Associate's Degree of Art, Web Development, Design or related field; or equivalent years of experience.
4-7 years professional experience in a web-related field.
Comprehensive knowledge of web development platforms and packages such as Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013, BMC Footprints, SharePoint Designer, ASP.Net 3.5
and Visual Studio.
Comprehensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, CAML, scripting languages, and cross-platform web accessibility standards.Demonstrated knowledge of workflow creation and ability to debug web applications.
Comprehensive knowledge of image editing application programs and a working knowledge of illustration and layout programs.
Knowledge or experience working with relational database management tools such as SQL Server.
Demonstrated understanding of effective design techniques and standards including user interface design, graphics creation, production, and optimization for the web.
Knowledge and/or past experience with a variety of software such as Info Path, Excel, Word, Outlook, and file conversion and compression utilities
