Heartland Financial has an opportunity for a Loan Documentation Assistant Supervisor to join our team in Dubuque.
The Loan Documentation Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the supervision of Loan Documentation Specialists, including the development, team building and training, and performance reviews. This individual will also assist in managing a department focused on excellent customer service and prompt turnaround time.
Responsibilities:
Administer the Laser Pro software application
Provide support for the core processing system, Laser Pro, which includes implementation of new products and features, system enhancements, conversions, coordinating upgrades and testing as well as troubleshooting system problems, monitoring and maintaining system performance and controls, as well as administrative duties in both systems.
Perform compliance/regulatory duties associated to consumer real estate lending, including interpreting and analyzing regulatory requirements as it relates to loan documentation.
Perform an initial review of incoming retail loan document requests to determine if preliminary requirements are met; assess and evaluate loan requests for level of complexity; assign the requests to the appropriate Loan Documentation Specialist.
Perform assistance and effort in the pre-closing and closing process on Retail consumer and Construction loans to ensure adherence to requirements.
Complete regulatory due diligence to validate information required for documentation
Provide guidance and direction to Personal Bankers, Loan Assistants and Doc Prep Specialists regarding proper loan documentation needed to structure the loan and perfect all collateral.
Accurately identify all requirements to document the loan properly and complete the configuration set-up in the appropriate bank's InfoAccess application, thereby creating a virtual tracking system to insure file completion.
Assist in directing the workflow of the loan documentation requests and assign the requests based upon skill and availability.
Provide and ensure a high standard of service, accuracy and excellence in the department.
Perform a secondary review of loan documentation prepared by the Consumer Loan Documentation Specialists to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the documentation
Work closely with the Loan Documentation Manager to ensure the loan doc prep area is progressive in making enhancements to processes to ensure service level agreements for turnaround times and accuracy.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
5
years of loan or related experience
1-2 years Loan Documentation Assistant Supervisory experience and/or completion of Loan Documentation Assistant Supervisory or related management training.
Knowledge of State and Federal consumer compliance regulations and requirements.
Strong problem solving, analytical and attention to detail skills with a commitment to very high standards.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to independently organize and prioritize tasks.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Laser Pro, AS400, Mark IV, CCS and Imaging System software.
