Marketing Database Administrator

Heartland Financial has an opportunity for a Marketing Database Administrator to join our team in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Marketing Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining the database for purposes of research, reporting and targeted marketing initiatives. This individual works closely with all business units to provide accurate data to achieve company objectives. Additionally, the Database Administrator enhances, refines, normalizes and manages the robust data sources that constitute our Marketing database. This position is responsible for establishing business rules, maintaining documentation of data including the assurance of data integrity, data extraction, report customization and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Develops a thorough understanding of the Marketing database, its architecture, algorithm process, householding process, officer coding, product hierarchy and business line structures.
Writes SQL queries/programs to extract data from SQL Server 2012
Utilizes data mining techniques, including data auditing, aggregation, validation and reconciliation to uncover strategic opportunities.
Collaborates with business line managers and experts to define and document business requirements
Maps data from core and primary systems to database to facilitate information requests
Supports data flow and mapping requirements from core system through Sedona and into EnAct, the sales management CRM.
Appends demographic and various segmentation data to current files
Creates ad hoc queries and automated reporting that identifies opportunities, responses to regulatory , business line and executive management requests
Provides data analysis that contributes to development of marketing plans and goal-setting
Works with product management, business lines and Finance to improve accurate portrayal of profitability at the product, account, customer, household, banker and branch level.
Communicates with database vendor to maintain awareness of new system capabilities
Continually seeks new data inputs, demographic enhancements, segmentation schemes or functionality that enhances database capabilities
Identifies and resolves data integrity issues
Protects the security of all data related to Heartland and its valued clients.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration or Computer Science
3-5 years of data management experience, preferably in the banking industry
Programming and data mapping experience
Sequel or MySQL experience
Experience with MS Office and advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge and experience with project management
Experience with primary Marketing Research is desired
